New Delhi: Najeeb Ahmed from Badayun UP, student of Jawaharlal Nehru University Delhi is missing since 14th of this month. Eyewitness says that he was chased and assaulted by a group of 30 students belonging to ABVP and abducted him to an unknown place. Najeeb Ahmed was attacked by the same group of students on the previous day also. Police has not even questioned the pro-BJP students but registered a case against Najeeb Ahmed, deriding the rule of law. Students Union of JNU is agitating on the issue, but the university authorities and police remain practically unmoved.
SDPI National leaders including National President A Sayeed, Vice-President Adv. Sharafuddeen Ahmed, National General Secretaries Elyas Mohamed Thumbey and Mohamed Shafi paid a visit to the parents of Najeeb Ahmed on 25th evening. They met with the mother and brother of Najeeb and assured all help and support to the family.
In this regard the SDPI is conducting a nationwide agitation on the issue on Fri 28 Oct 2016 aimed at pressurizing the government and the university administration to speed up the investigations, get the ABVP goons behind the bars and get back the missing JNU student Najeeb.
